"A house divided against itself, cannot stand." So wrote Lincoln in 1858. In the same speech he wrote “I do not expect the Union to be dissolved. I do not expect the house to fall. But I do expect it will cease to be divided.” What followed was the Civil War and a divided nation. At the War’s conclusion the house did not fall. But was it divided? Is it still divided as much now as it was on the eve of the Civil War?
Our host of the new podcast, Clusterf*cked, is trying to bridge that divide, one Red State guest at a time.
I’ll let him explain in this exciting, graphics-driven trailer that I cut for my good friend and collaborator, Roger King. Over to you RK!
