Cavassing with Roxy
This was a full day of shooting, both video and stills. Two teams working at maximum efficiency.
The challenge with this type of shoot is to make it look good, but do it fast. I tend to light a 'space' (rather than people), so this makes it easier. I also don't make it complicated. For example, the scene where Roxy and Tracy talk at the kitchen table was side lit with a Cinemills LED Sufa Bullet 800 through an 8x8 silk. We were against a window and I wanted enough level to hold the background. The only other 'source' was a bounce card in front of talent to add some soft light from the front. Simple.
Then Mother Nature brought out the sun and added a beautiful backlight. Thanks, Mom!
